Overview
As a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. When I was 12, I discovered Astronomy and slowly changed my mind into becoming a physicist. However, during my PhD I realized that sitting behind a desk and in front of a computer for long hours was not for me. I needed to perform a more dynamic job that would allow me to engage with nature. Therefore, I decided to switch fields, studied a master in Biological Physics and obtained my degree in Veterinary Medicine.
In this internship, I am looking forward to learning the practical skills needed to investigate infectious diseases in wildlife and their possible transference to and from domestic animals and humans.
